Meet The Leadership Team of The Horse Prayer

Hi! I’m Jeff Miller, I was born and raised in Aberdeen. I began working at B&B Automotive in 1991 at the age of 20 and purchased the business in 2015. I hold a private pilot license and have really enjoyed flying. A fall from a ladder in 2017 left me with a spinal cord injury halting my flying for the time being. I live in the country and really enjoy my time outdoors. I especially enjoy any excuse to get on a tractor and play in the dirt.

As a young adult, I had the opportunity to spend time at an Arab horse ranch on a regular basis. I had always enjoyed horse contact but this is where I really started to learn about riding and horses in general. I went on to do some horse showing (western pleasure and western equitation) and gaming.

Being involved with The Horse Prayer has given me the opportunity to use my business and management knowledge, equipment operating skills, and my love of people and horses to give back to others, as others have given generously to me.

Advisory Committee since May 2018, Board Of Directors since July 2019.

Hello.  My name is Stephanie Lewis.  I’m very excited to be a part of The Horse Prayer.  I believe in its mission, program, and people with my whole heart!

Someone once said, "Horses carry the wisdom of healing in their hearts and offer it to any humans who possess the humility to listen.”  I could not agree more!

I loved growing up in Montesano, where I still live.  I won my first horse in an essay contest when I was 14 years old.  She was my best friend and I spent every moment I had with her.  Life was awesome!  I’ve had several horses since her, but she will always be the horse love-of-my-life.

I have four children, Zack (24), Colton (22), Jessica (20) and Dalton (14) and a Border Collie/Australian Shepard named Willow.

My family and I thoroughly enjoy the Pacific Northwest life.  We love to hike, take road trips, go on ferry rides and to the beaches.  I also like to bake, refinish furniture and decorate for all the changing season and holidays.

Volunteer since March 2019. Board Of Directors since June 2019.

Hello, my name is Trisha Channell - Jones. I am a veterinary Hospital Manager, mother of 2 teenagers, married to Scott Jones, and small farm owner.  I grew up in Ocosta and graduated from Ocosta Jr/Sr High School, where my kids currently attend. I manage Raintree Veterinary Center in Hoquiam, and Olympia Pet Emergency in Lacey. I have been working at these two veterinary hospitals since 1999, after coming back to the Harbor upon graduation from WSU with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science and a minor in Agriculture Economics. In 2011, I obtained my certification from the Veterinary Medical Institute at Purdue University, Krannert School of Business Management and then become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager in 2014.

My children are very active in schools sports and 4-H. Both of my children show hogs and turkeys at the Grays Harbor County fair as well as participate and compete in 4-H Archery. My daughter also competes in dressage competitions, with her Half-Arabian, “Kolors”, and is actively enrolled in Arabian Horse Association. My son competes with his Chesapeake Bay Retriever, “Jessie”, in Dock Dog competitions and is actively enrolled with Puget Sound Dock Dogs.

My horses have always given me comfort and been my best friends.  I remember anytime I felt sad or lonely, I always went to the barn or pasture. My horse could always comfort me, bring me peace and overwhelming joy. I treasure the peace I feel with my horses, and this is why I want to participate with The Horse Prayer. I think the connection people can feel to horses is amazing and I wish everyone could have that experience.

Volunteer September 2017. Board Of Directors since October 2017.

Hello! My name is Shelly Robinette and I am super excited to be a part of The Horse Prayer. My husband Ray, our two daughters, and I moved to Hoquiam 17 years ago and have grown to love this place! We were blessed to add our son to our family shortly after becoming Harborites. Our wild bunch loves the great outdoors, hiking and exploring the beauties of the Pacific Northwest. Our family home swirls in loving chaos with our amazing children, two dogs, and some fish. My childhood love of horses has passed on to my youngest daughter and though we do not own one, they hold a dear place in our hearts.

Our kids have grown up knowing that ALL people are worth caring for. Throughout our years spent as foster parents, mentoring adults and teens, and even our careers, we love to help people.

Along with 15+ years of non-profit experience, I am able to bring my creativity and compassion to THP. This is yet another way to support a local organization that shares my heart to help others. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve THP and all who will be served here.

Media/Web since September 2017. Board Of Directors since May 2018.

My name is Kristi Norberg, born and raised Harborite. I have been a Real Estate Broker for the past 4 years and a professional photographer for over 17 years.  I am married to Scott Norberg and with him, we have raised two amazing children who are now adults.  Our Daughter Rachel has two beautiful babies of her own now and our youngest,  Dane is still residing in our home while attending Grays Harbor College. We also have 3 awesome aussies (Australian shepherds), Corteo, the old man and our two pups, Meera and Copper. Our oldies, aka mouse hunters, aka kitty cats, are also family.

There is evidence to believe that a horses' heartbeat can synch with a human's heartbeat which I have experienced first hand. As a child, I was head over heels in LOVE with horses. That love pushed me to work hard at raising money delivering the Daily World News Paper to purchase my greatest love, Mattie (Challenge Debutante). She was an amazingly beautiful and spirited little Morgan who was not only my heart-synch but my therapist. Mattie, as spirited as she was, would always remain calm and loving during our therapy sessions. She allowed me to cry, hug and lay with her through the ever devastating divorce of my parents. I truly believe in horses' abilities to synch with our heartbeats and their ability to calm our inner turmoil.

Board Of Directors since June 2018.

Hello there, my name is Georgia Bravos, a Marketing Consultant and longtime employee of Jodesha Broadcasting.  My family moved to Grays Harbor when I was five.  I left the harbor as a young adult thinking that the grass was greener elsewhere. I quickly discovered there is no place like home and with the birth of my first son, my heartstrings pulled me back.  I’m the mother of two grown adults and an overjoyed grandma to the cutest little boy the world has ever seen!

I have a background in event planning and fundraising and am passionate about my community! Besides serving others, I am happiest outdoors. I am currently an ambassador with Greater Grays Harbor Inc. (the area’s chamber of commerce and economic development organization) as well as Board Member of Connections (an organization geared to safeguard children and connect families to available services within the community).

I have a love of horses, gardening and all that living in the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Volunteer since May 2018. Board Of Directors since August. 2018.
